The planet's leader Dr. Zaius is astonished when he discovers that Taylor can speak. Simian scientists Cornelius and Dr. Zira try to protect the humans but Heston escapes only to discover further surprises. Scripted by Rod Serling and Michael Wilson, this film won a special Academy Award for John Chamber's amazing makeup and prosthetics work.
