Neal Page is a successful advertising executive trying to make it home to Chicago in time for Thanksgiving. After a series of travel disasters leaves him stranded, he reluctantly joins forces with Del Griffith, a relentlessly talkative and kindhearted salesman. Their journey quickly becomes a chaotic combination of missed flights, broken-down vehicles, uncomfortable accommodations, and endless arguments. Although Neal initially sees Del as nothing more than an obstacle, the two gradually form an unlikely friendship. Beneath the comedy and travel disasters is a warm story about loneliness, compassion, and the unexpected connections that can emerge when life refuses to go according to plan.
