Dead on Live - Celebrating the Music & Legacy of the Grateful Dead

16 years ago touring/recording veteran multi-instrumentalist Marc Muller assembled a cast of world-class musicians to present two iconic Grateful Dead records, Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty. In putting this important 40th anniversary show together, he chose to perform the music in a totally unique, never attempted format - note for note, all instruments and vocals as recorded! This began the long strange trip of his project - Dead On Live. Since then, DOL has broken all the rules in Grateful Dead tributes by recreating virtually all of the Dead’s commercial releases, as well as some of their more notorious live productions, note for note……Dead On…….Live!

DOL makes its debut performance at the historic Sacred Heart Community Theatre with two full sets of deep cuts and fan favs from the Dead’s vast catalogue, presented as only DOL does, needle to vinyl. But of course, remaining true to the Dead’s spirit of freedom and sonic exploration, DOL always provides plenty of improvisation and good old Grateful jamming to get the kids to dance and shake their bones!
